Lower Antelope Canyon – The southwest is scattered with slot canyons like this that were formed over thousands or millions of years from wind and water erosion. The shapes and patterns are all unique but the glow created by the sun reflecting off of the sandstone is always pretty incredible.
Monument Valley – 50 million years of erosion from wind and water revealed these natural wonders. You might recognize the view from several movies including: Stagecoach, Easy Rider and Forest Gump.
Shiprock – The Navajo name for the peak, Tsé Bitʼaʼí, “rock with wings” or “winged rock”, refers to the legend of the great bird that brought the Navajo from the north to their present lands. The name “Shiprock” or Shiprock Peak or Ship Rock derives from the peak’s resemblance to an enormous 19th-century clipper ship.
